Portobello Mushroom Pizzas

These Portobello Mushroom Pizzas are a delicious low-carb alternative to traditional pizza. They are easy to make and packed with flavor, making them a perfect appetizer or main course for mushroom lovers.

Ingredients:

  • 4 large Portobello mushroom caps
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 400F 200C

Clean the Portobello mushroom caps and remove the stems

Brush both sides of the mushroom caps with olive oil and season with salt and pepper

Place the mushroom caps on a baking sheet, gill side up, and bake for 10 minutes to soften them

Remove the mushrooms from the oven and drain any excess liquid

Spread pizza sauce evenly on each mushroom cap

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, black olives, cherry tomatoes, and red bell pepper over the sauce

Return the stuffed mushrooms to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown

Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese

Serve your Portobello Mushroom Pizzas hot and enjoy
