Slow Cooker Pot Roast is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and turns out very tender and flavorful. Great for busy weeknights when you need a hearty meal ready to go
Ingredients:
- 1 3 to 4 pounds chuck roast
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 carrots, peeled and sliced
- 4 potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Instructions:
Add salt and pepper to the chuck roast
In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat
Make sure all sides of the roast are browned
Put the roast in a slow cooker
Set the slow cooker on low and add the potatoes, onions, garlic, and carrots
Put Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, and beef broth in a bowl and mix them together
Pour the broth mix over the vegetables and roast
On low heat, cover and cook for 8 hours, or until the meat is soft
The roast and vegetables should be taken out of the slow cooker when they are done
Cut the roast into pieces and serve it with the vegetables and juices
