Gnocchi with Fennel and Pork

The earthy flavors of fennel and the savory flavors of ground pork come together in this gnocchi dish to make a hearty and satisfying meal. Everything goes well with the creamy sauce, which makes it a nice dinner choice any night of the week.

Ingredients:

  • 500g gnocchi
  • 300g ground pork
  • 1 fennel bulb, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions:

Boil gnocchi according to package instructions, then drain and set aside

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat

Add diced onion and minced garlic, saut until fragrant

Add ground pork and cook until browned

Add sliced fennel and continue cooking until softened

Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, season with salt and pepper

Let simmer for 5-7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly

Add cooked gnocchi to the skillet, toss to coat with the sauce

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving
