Nanas Coconut Sheet Cake

This coconut sheet cake recipe, passed down from Nana, yields a moist and delicious treat thats perfect for any occasion. The combination of buttermilk and shredded coconut gives it a unique flavor and texture that everyone will love.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup shredded coconut

Instructions:

Warm the oven up to 175F 350C and grease a baking sheet

Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl with a whisk

Melt the butter and add it to the dry ingredients along with the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract

Mix everything together well

Add the shredded coconut and mix it in until its spread out evenly in the batter

Spread out the batter on the baking sheet that has been prepared

Put it in the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the middle comes out clean

Let the cake cool all the way down before cutting it into squares
